Elsie turned 41 weeks old on Tuesday.
Elsie is still a big fan of waving, and we just think it is the cutest!
Elsie now feeds herself her bottle. She still allows us to cuddle with her when she does it. Everyone once in a while, she gets really fancy and holds the bottle with one hand, but this is pretty hard to catch on camera - she just starts waving and smiling for the camera...
Elsie is doing really well with her walkers, zooming through the house (in a straight line unless Mom and Dad help her turn).
Elsie is having a lot of fun at school with feathers, paints, and friends.

Elsie and Mom visit the Bullards
Elsie and I went to PA for the weekend. Elsie did great on the flights! We were in first class and were so fortunate to have an empty seat next to us both times!!
We learned a trick - Elsie loves the seat belt!
Elsie had so much fun hanging out with J-Ma and Papa Pete. The weather was gorgeous, so we got outside both days!
Uncle Pete encouraged Elsie to crawl all over the place - even up and down the two steps from the family room to the kitchen! The iPhone makes a great carrot!
Elsie had fun walking around the house with G-G-Ma.
Aunt Becky kept Elsie entertained and well fed! We really enjoyed meeting her new boyfriend, Brad, too! And we are so proud of Becky running the Philadelphia half marathon.
And Elsie did great eating at the airport and on the planes!
We had so much fun and miss you already!

Elsie is 40 weeks old
Elsie turned 40 weeks old on Tuesday. Elsie had her 9-month checkup this past week. Elsie now weighs in at 20 lbs, 13 oz and measures 28.25 inches in length. We then switch to metric - the circumference of her head is 45.2 cm.
Elsie wore her cute sweater knit by Aunt Kaye to church on Sunday. (Aunt Kaye - can you tell me how to wash this sweater? Elsie got some sweet potatoes and mac and cheese on the arms...)
Elsie still prefers to be walking around (with assistance). Here is a video of Elsie with her new walker.
Looks like Elsie is learning to cook at school! She should be a big help over the holidays!
And here is the newsletter from school.

Elsie is 39 weeks old
Elsie turned 39 week old on Tuesday.
As you can see in the above photo, Elsie is now really good at waving hi and bye. At school, she is the official greeter for the Infant classroom, and will just keep waving until the visitor acknowledges her! Elsie has also started joining us in the kitchen. She enjoys trying to open the cabinets as we cook around her.
Here is a video of Elsie cruising down the line.
The weather has been great over the last couple weekends. We spent some time cleaning up the yard. Elsie did a good job entertaining herself with her table and the leaves (as we rush over to pull them out of her mouth...)
Elsie still loves the swing at the park. We are all very excited that November has been so mild!
Elsie (right) and Ava have been hanging out quite a bit at school. Here they are checking out the family photos on the wall.
Here is the Infant newsletter for the week.

Elsie is 38 weeks old
Elsie turned 28 weeks old on Tuesday.
It is so difficult for her to sit still these days...
This week I thought I would highlight the favorite spot in the house. The cats like to hand out by the door and meow anytime a human moves, with the hopes that maybe they will get to go outside. Elsie like to be outside, too, so we often see her banging at the door. (At night, she likes looking at the baby on the other side of the door!) Elsie's presence, of course, causes the cats to run away. But this week, we were able to capture a few pics of Elsie, Betty, and Lazarus all n their favorite spot.
Elsie really enjoys school, the teachers, and all of the activities. They are still going outside quite a bit. Here is a picture from another indoor painting session. She definitely paints more at school than she ever would at home with her neat-freak mom!
And the update from school:
