Play date at Ava's house

We went over to Ava's house for a great play date and dinner. Jen has a nice camera and takes beautiful pictures! The girls had a blast and were just so funny to watch together. They bounce around so quickly from one activity to the next and just love mimicking each other!

New summer toys - baby and gloves

Elsie recently received a baby doll. The clothes come off, the baby has its own pacifier, and the eyes open and close! Here Elise is hard at work taking off the baby's shirt!

We have also been having fun playing with gardening gloves, although we are having a hard time finding ones that are small enough for little Elsie hands!

Morton Arboretum with Sara Lee

Sara Lee had a nice family picnic at the Morton Arboretum. Since we had already been there once, we were prepared! Elsie enjoyed the secret stream early in the day before it was filled with other toddlers!!
Elsie enjoys picking up the tiniest things off the ground. Normally, this includes trash (gum, cigarette butts, etc.), but it also includes rocks and pebbles! Fortunately, he stream had a few fun rocks to explore.
Elsie tried to follow the big kids!
back at the Sara Lee picnic grounds, Elsie found a hula hoop. Check out that tongue! She is trying so hard!

Then I guess it was time for a break. Elsie sat down near the hula hoops, and just kept pulling more on top of her. Then she leaned back and took a little rest!

Messy Spaghetti

Elsie is a great eater! She eats most anything and in large quantities. We have all 5 food groups at most meals, and Elsie likes them all - veggies, fruits, starches, proteins, and dairy! On this particular evening, we had spaghetti, and Elsie really enjoyed it.

Mom! My hands are disgusting. Can you please take care of this?
