Elsie turned 23 weeks old on Tuesday.
Elsie is really reaching for everything now. Here is a picture of her trying to grab the book from dad. Elsie would prefer to be eating to book, not reading it!
Elsie is now in full command of her office. She often has a toy in each hand, chewing on one, then the other, then back to the first.
Elsie has finally realized that she has feet! When left to entertain herself, she immediately reaches for her feet. Or, more accurately, her feet reach for her mouth. It is still a challenge to capture a photo of Elsie in action - she immediately stops to smile for the camera.
Great Aunt Kaye cam by with a beautiful sweater she knit for Elsie! It was about 60F on Sunday, so the sweater was perfectly appropriate!
Look at our big girl Elsie! It is amazing how much she has grown in the last 5.5 months!

Elsie is 22 weeks old
Elsie turned 22 weeks old on Tuesday.
Elsie has been doing a lot of fun things that I have tried to capture on film. The trouble is that she LOVES the camera. As soon as it comes out, she forgets everything else she has been doing and just focuses on smiling for the camera!
Elsie is becoming pretty mobile in her crib. We often find her in all sorts of directions. She sleeps for about 10 hours now on her own, although she often needs some binky help in the middle of the night.
When she hangs out in the her crib in the morning while mom finishes getting dressed, she likes to play with her toys. She grabs the toy, like her pink elephant, and holds it real tight to her chest, pulling in her legs, and rolling to the side. It is actually a lot like Lazarus, but with less clawing of the toy with her feet.
She has started sitting up with some assistance. She can reach down for a toy and then come back up to sitting position!
Elsie loves being kissed on her belly when getting dressed. She lets out loud screams while pulling my or Jack's hair! So cute. Elsie turns and looks for us when we start talking, and loves to know everything that is going on around the house.

Elsie turns 21 weeks old!
On Tuesday, Elsie turned 21 weeks old!
Mom has been working a lot - 14 hour days and all weekend :( - so Dad and Elsie have been enjoying some quality time together! They celebrated July 4 with our friends Gerick, Kelly, and Merrill downtown.
When I came home on Sunday, this is what I found. Sleepy Elsie and Daddy. I think they were giving up on the Cubs.
We both got outside for a little daylight. Look at Elsie's pretty church dress!
Elsie still enjoys the exersaucer. We have heard some great names for this contraption lately: - - "the office" since there is so much to do
- "the circle of neglect"

Elsie is 20 weeks old!
Elsie turned 20 weeks old on Tuesday.
In the morning, she rolled from her back to her stomach while hanging out with dad (who was folding laundry).
Elsie really enjoys shaking her rattles now! Up and down. Up and down.
Elsie has been getting better with tummy time. She sometimes even reaches for toys now and kid of scoots around a little.
Here are some pictures of Elsie practicing sitting on her own.
