Elsie is 42 weeks old

Elsie turned 42 weeks old on Tuesday. Wow! Only 10 weeks until 1 year old! (Yes, I just did a quick check to make sure I counted correctly!)

Look how great my hair is coming in Mom!

Aunt Kris made us an advent calendar, so we got to open it on Tuesday. Elsie was happy for the unwrapping practice before the big day.

Elsie is having a lot of fun at school learning and exploring! She is always smiling! No newsletter for the short week.

Elsie has really gotten good with her walker. She is now sprinting down the hallway! It is hard to catch her on video!

Thanksgiving at the Phipps Farm

We spent Thanksgiving on the farm this year. We had a lot of fun! We even got to ride in the combine and the tractor with Jack! Unfortunately, I forget the camera both times :(
On the way down to the farm, we stopped for lunch and Elsie had her first Burger King experience. She had Kraft mac-and-cheese and I got to eat her apples!

Elsie and Leah had fun playing near each other. They don't quite play together yet!

Matching sweaters!

Hanging out with Dad and Grandma Jan.

Elsie doesn't normally play by herself when we are at home. But, she was just fascinated by her high chair belt. She played with this belt for about 30 minutes, touching the buckle, banging it on the high chair legs, and, of course, trying to eat it! I had fun watching her learn!

Elsie had fun trying to play with Grandpa John's toys (papers, magazines, books, reading glasses...).

I think Maizey is still Elsie's favorite! Elsie chases after Maizey and grabs on to her fur. Maizey is very patient!

Elsie is 41 weeks old

Elsie turned 41 weeks old on Tuesday.

Elsie is still a big fan of waving, and we just think it is the cutest!

Elsie now feeds herself her bottle. She still allows us to cuddle with her when she does it. Everyone once in a while, she gets really fancy and holds the bottle with one hand, but this is pretty hard to catch on camera - she just starts waving and smiling for the camera...

Elsie is doing really well with her walkers, zooming through the house (in a straight line unless Mom and Dad help her turn).

Elsie is having a lot of fun at school with feathers, paints, and friends.

I am on the road and having trouble with the embedding program I use for the school newsletter. I will include it next time!

Elsie and Mom visit the Bullards

Elsie and I went to PA for the weekend. Elsie did great on the flights! We were in first class and were so fortunate to have an empty seat next to us both times!!
We learned a trick - Elsie loves the seat belt!

Elsie had so much fun hanging out with J-Ma and Papa Pete. The weather was gorgeous, so we got outside both days!

Uncle Pete encouraged Elsie to crawl all over the place - even up and down the two steps from the family room to the kitchen! The iPhone makes a great carrot!

Elsie had fun walking around the house with G-G-Ma.

Aunt Becky kept Elsie entertained and well fed! We really enjoyed meeting her new boyfriend, Brad, too! And we are so proud of Becky running the Philadelphia half marathon.

And Elsie did great eating at the airport and on the planes!

We had so much fun and miss you already!

Elsie is 40 weeks old

Elsie turned 40 weeks old on Tuesday. Elsie had her 9-month checkup this past week. Elsie now weighs in at 20 lbs, 13 oz and measures 28.25 inches in length. We then switch to metric - the circumference of her head is 45.2 cm.

Elsie wore her cute sweater knit by Aunt Kaye to church on Sunday. (Aunt Kaye - can you tell me how to wash this sweater? Elsie got some sweet potatoes and mac and cheese on the arms...)

Elsie still prefers to be walking around (with assistance). Here is a video of Elsie with her new walker.

Looks like Elsie is learning to cook at school! She should be a big help over the holidays!

And here is the newsletter from school.
